Counselling and Supervision in the Person Centred Approach
Friendly counsellor with a broad range of experiences.
We will work together in a way that creates a trusted and stimulating environment. Engaging with your struggles and experiences, and understanding the particular meaning they have for you in your life, we will tune in to sensing, valuing, challenging and evolving at a pace and direction that suits you in your current circumstance.
At the heart of all of this there is an understanding that all of our experiences are lived within the physical, social, cultural and political circumstances of our lives and that our struggles are part of a larger whole.
I bring over 20 years experience working in a variety of settings, with people experiencing different kinds of difficulty or distress, each in their own particular way: including NHS primary care, mental health centre, student counselling, employee support, private practice.
Working in this same person centred approach I offer professional supervision to counsellors and other workers. I have experience holding a supervision space for student counsellors, NHS talking therapists, experienced therapists and other workers.
Supportive Reflection - parents, carers, workers
This kind of engaged, supportive and reflective space can be really useful to parents and carers with monthly or fortnightly meetings to value and support this important life work. People engaged in campaigning work also benefit from making space to take care of themselves in the context of their demanding work and struggles.
Getting in touch and fees
I offer a free telephone conversation before meeting which will give you a feel for whether you would like us to work together. In our first session we will explore the issues and together decide a way forward.
My usual fee is £50 and sessions last one hour.
Please phone or it may be easiest to send an email or text to arrange a convenient time to talk.
